strangers

when you are young you are told to not talk to strangers. they are scary. they are large. however i believe that strangers make the most valuable listeners. they can only judge you by what you say. they do not know the tears you are holding back. they do not know the many times you regret waking up in the morning. all they know is in that brief moment of conversation you are both human. you are both present.
